Splash Hill Zone ★

I actually hesitated to finish this piece after the Sonic 4 leaks. =< I kind of wish I had chosen a zone from a Genesis game for the background instead, but I decided to keep it, it's too pretty to scrap. I'm very pleased with my fluffy white clouds!

Getting Sonic CD anime style just right is more difficult than it looks and it's still probably full of mistakes. Anyway this is by far my favorite version of Sonic, he's just so cute and cool and full of life! If only he looked like this in Sonic 4~

EDIT - It completely slipped my mind that I wanted to apply a screentone texture on this, that's what the middle of the night will do to me. D; I fixed it~

Haha.
(reference to how to enter debug mode in sonic cd, tails was there with a car, and it said "SEE YOU NEXT GAME".)

mehh , i'm not such a big fan of the classic Sonic ..
but this is just so beautiful !
the background really IS well done , and i especially love all the colouring ! x]
sure to bring back feelings of nostalgia for some of the older or more traditional gamers .

I agree, Sonic CD Sonic was so adorable! :aww: I think you captured him very well, the coloring is perfect and the background looks really great. I also like how you gave Sonic's eyes a brown tint.
